The guest room at Hathor House was amazing! It had air conditioning which was a lifesaver in the Cairo heat. The TV with satellite channels kept me entertained during my downtime. The kettle was great for making a quick cup of tea. And the bed linen was so comfortable, I had the best night's sleep!
Honestly, the shared bathroom in the single room wasn't my favorite. It's just my personal opinion, but I would have preferred a private bathroom.

I recently stayed at Hathor House for a week-long vacation. The hotel's central location was perfect for exploring the city, and the views from my balcony were amazing. The staff, especially Mahmoud, were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. The rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and had nice touches like a fridge and kettle. I also appreciated the air-conditioning and the sweet fragrance throughout the hotel. I couldn't recommend this hidden-gem hotel more!
I do recommend this hotel.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and well-lit, with balconies. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the old museum. There was a fridge and kettle in the room, which is not always provided by budget hotels. The breakfast was served in the room and was delicious.
Cannot find any fault.

The staff were nice, especially Ahmed the evening shift. The room was clean, spacious, and bright, with a wardrobe, fridge. The bathroom was a comfortable size with hot water available all the time. The location was great, close to the places we wanted to visit and fast food options. Good value for the price paid and the clean and well-maintained environment was appreciated.
The hotel had an old-fashioned elevator, but at least it was better than climbing two flights of stairs. The shared sidewalk entrance of the building was dirty, which was a downside.

The guest rooms at Hathor House were perfect for our family! They were equipped with everything we needed, like air conditioning, a TV with satellite channels, and a kettle. The single room had a shared bathroom, but it was well-fitted with a shower, bidet, and hairdryer. It even provided slippers! We loved the balcony in the air-conditioned twin/double room. The city views from there were absolutely amazing. Having a TV with satellite channels in all the guest rooms was such a bonus. We enjoyed relaxing and watching our favorite shows after a long day of exploring.
Personally, I'm not a fan of the bidet in the room. It's a subjective opinion, and others may find it useful or enjoyable.
